Microfiction Anyone?

I decided to participate in NYC Midnight’s microfiction challenge.

On Friday’s round one, we will be assigned to a group and told:
(1) what genre we must write in,
(2) a particular word that must be included in our story, and
(3) a particular action the characters must do in the story.

We then have 24 hours to write our 250 word story.

The top stories will then advance to round two, and then the top from round two on to round three. Not sure, but I think the drill is the same for each round.

Cross your fingers that my assigned genre isn’t sci-fi or historical fiction!
