The judge signed the order changing my transgender daughter’s name. It’s official.
I’m so happy for her, though admittedly, it took me a minute.

As the mother of a transgender son, your essay meant (means) so much to me. It is challenging for most people to really comprehend the transition process that parents go through alongside their kids- loving beyond measure that your child has found themself and their true identity, while simultaneously experiencing the emotions of letting go the child you raised.
