A while back, I submitted a short screenplay for a NYC Midnight Challenge, titled We Need to Talk.
This is one of those where you get randomly assigned a genre (sci-fi, yuck), a location (drive-in movie), and an object (handcuffs).
Just found out that it placed in the top 15 for my group.
Now on to round 2, where I again have 48 hours to submit a 5-page screenplay. Genre, location, and object assignments come out Friday night.
Here’s the link to the submission, if you’re curious.

OK, two things that made me smile/laugh out loud…First, ‘Richard’, made me smile, you used Rich’s name, too cute…Second, “You can get it while you’re getting my juice.”, I laughed out loud…god you’re clever Lucie:) Way to go!!

Thanks! And thanks for reading 🙂

Loved! I like how it builds, deep and sentimental then flips at the end, funny and sharp.

Glad you liked it. I’ll likely be posting my 2nd round script tomorrow, so keep an eye.
