I wrote a quick story last night. 450 words short. Dark humor, except perhaps it was missing the humor part.
Upon reading, Richard commented, “That gives me a strong sense of repulsion.”
When I tried to defend it as dark comedy, he said, “You’re not Edgar Allan Poe. You’re not Stephen King.”
I think I need a darker beta reader.
Richard’s comments made me laugh out loud! (Sorry.)
I’d volunteer, but I’m not a good candidate for a darker beta reader. Try my kids, 2.5 of them would be. Or maybe yours??
I may just post it on the website, to see who runs away.
But if I do that, I can’t submit it elsewhere.
Like to Stephen King…
